In the ‘Novels’ section are the stories that shape my literary world. Each book is a reflection of my imagination, nurtured and brought to life.

My latest book is called Alternative Realities.  The story is  set in modern day Belfast and is centred around a Detective Inspector Harry Connors of the Police Service Northern Ireland. DI Connors is in charge of a team of detectives whose job is to catch killers. DI Connors job is made more difficult when he is targeted by an active service unit of the Dissident IRA. The book is available on Amazon in paper and e-book format.

More Books to consider:

Remembering Betsy Gray: set in Ireland during 1795-98, follows the journey of a young Irish woman who dreamt it was possible for the people of her beloved country to overcome centuries of sectarian hatred and build a new society in which everyone lived in peace and harmony no matter what their religion. Throughout the eighteenth-century political, judicial and financial power in Ireland lay in the hands of a few rich, landowning Anglican aristocrats who controlled the election of Members of Parliament to the Irish Government notorious for corruption and self-interest. Convinced her quest for political reform was just, Betsy joined thousands of fellow County Down, United Irishmen in June 1798 and marched into battle against the British army. Betsy fought valiantly leaving her idealism and bravery to linger on in Irish folklore.

Whisper Love: a gripping action thriller and a true love story – When teenagers, Ciara Ward and Stephen McGregor met in Belfast in 1972 they fell in love. But they had to keep their feelings for each other a secret, because Ciara was a Catholic and Stephen was a Protestant, and there was a vicious sectarian war going on around them. Over the next few months they continued to meet, ignoring the constant threats of violence until inexplicably Ciara suddenly disappeared leaving Stephen broken hearted. Forty years later when someone mysteriously tried to murder Stephen, his son Andrew began searching for answers about the attempt on his fathers’ life. As he probed into his father’s history he began to wonder if the shooting was linked to Ciara’s disappearance all those years ago.

Forever Changed: a riveting action thriller that centres around Private Detective Danny Quinn, the owner of the Delta Detective Agency in Belfast. When Danny received a phone call from a friend asking him to help him recover his stolen car, he quickly agreed. That simple act of kindness set in motion a surprising sequence of events that resulted in Danny becoming involved in the murky world of counterintelligence. He soon finds himself working alongside secret service agents, from various countries in the western world, as they combine their resources to try and prevent international terrorists from smuggling a deadly explosive devise halfway around the world to use it in a reprisal attack against America and its allies to avenge the death of Osama bin Laden.

Death of Innocence: A fascinating action and crime thriller based around real events. A serial killer does not operate in a vacuum; rather he conducts his crimes against a backdrop of what is often described as normal society, but when that normality is affected by war such as the battlefields of the first world war or the civil war in Ireland that followed, his detection is made even more difficult. When eighteen-year-old Hugh McCall from Ireland and his best friends, enlist in Kitchener’s Army in August 1914, they dream of becoming warriors and heroes instead they were confronted with brutality and uncontrolled evil.

Luna Scura: a gripping action thriller set in Belfast. When Private detective Danny Quinn is hired to protect a group of international medical personal due to attend a forthcoming Plastic Surgery event in Belfast, he has no idea that a secret organisation called Luna Scura has been hired to murder several of them. As Danny prepares for the event, he is gradually confronted by a growing realisation about the enormity of the task facing him.

Friar’s Bush Murder: A captivating crime thriller. Private Detective Danny Quinn runs his own Detective Agency in Belfast. When homeless man Joey Dickson witnesses a murder while sleeping rough, his friends try to hide him, but when they begin to die in strange circumstances Joey turns to Danny Quinn for help. Danny quickly agrees even though his own private life has been thrown into turmoil with someone threatening to kill his American girlfriend, Katie Levy, a freelance journalist, because of a controversial article she recently wrote in a local newspaper. When Joey Dickson is found dead the police arrest Danny and charge him with his murder. Now Danny must turn to his own friends for help as he fights to clear his name and save Katie’s life.
